Like most other eighteen-year-old girls, I love to shop. However, in recent times, I have found that fashion is becoming more of an obsession for me. I love to research it, look at it, draw it, and just . . . take it in. I see it as more of an art form; the most striking and obvious way we have to express ourselves. It’s one of the biggest tools in the human arsenal (particularly for women).
With this newfound passion, I have been scouring the web for fashion blogs, especially ones that promise to help those on a budget. Those “budget-friendly” blogs show clothes and accessories from Banana Republic, J. Crew, and Coach, and a few very high-end designers as well. While the three stores I mentioned are not too far out of reach for many people in the middle class, it is nearly impossible for a young girl to create a wardrobe entirely out of those clothes. I work at a deli and am going to college in a month – I don’t have enough money to spend $40 on a t-shirt (no matter how good the quality).
Don’t get me wrong. I understand that good quality goes a long way with clothes (and I have some pieces from each of those stores), but I just don’t have the funds to experiment with fashion at that high a price. So I decided to create this.
This is my exploration and experimentation with all things fashion. I’m not afraid to try anything once (when it comes to clothes), and I’m pretty good at finding great deals. So if you’re someone with a passion for fashion (and not enough cash), then you’ve found a safe haven.
